The Bavarian Environment and Climate Pact honours companies that commit voluntarily to sustainability and corporate environmental protection above and beyond all legal requirements. Once again, our stringent measures qualified us for this award.
In 2021, plant 2, constructed in the 1980s, and our current location for optical coating and 3D printing, underwent comprehensive modernisation and energy refurbishment by renovating the outer facade, roof and heating. The power supply for both plants in Langenzenn is 100% renewable energy, some of which is self-generated using our own photovoltaic systems. And to this end, when it comes to mobility, we are pushing forward with the electrification of our own vehicle fleet. With the addition of three more electric cars, more than 50% of our company cars are now fully electric. Our visitors can also charge their EVs conveniently and free of charge on our company premises.
